Bear Creek Timberwrights is in search of a couple of craftspeople to come onboard as joiners in our shop. The lucky contestants will have the opportunity to work along side the best timberframers in the west in our new stat of the art shop facility, as well as some travel on raisings
The skills necessary for this position:
Willingness to learn and pay close attention to detail, basic construction skills such as reading plans, using power tools, etc. Good sense of humor a must!
Daily requirements will include everything from layout to finishing, communication with everyone from clients to truck drivers.
The Bitterroot Valley is nestled between two mountain ranges on the western edge of Montana. The Valley offers uncommonly beautiful scenery and diverse recreational opportunities for every season. Bear Creek Timberwrights facilities are located on the west side of the Valley near the town of Victor. The population of Ravalli County is approximately 40,000. The largest town in the valley is Hamilton (8 miles south of our facilities). Missoula, 40 miles to the north of us and one of the largest cities in Montana, is a major hub of activity with an International Airport and most every store necessary for survival - including Costco. Spokane, Washington is 250 miles to the west - and when you need to go to the really big city, Seattle, Washington is only 540 miles away.
