Where Do We Start ...
The process begins with you and your clients needs. Generally the architectural plans you send us will have some timber frame details. If you don't have timber details, or if you would like something different - we can assist you. Typically, within a few phone calls and emails we have the idea of what you are after.
The 1st step is to develop a comprehensive scope of work/quote. This will list all of the pertinent information such as timber sizes, locations of timber components, finishes, delivery, installation, etc.
Design and Shop Drawings ...
Once we are awarded the project we begin working on the shop drawings.
The shop drawings we generate are engineered and stamped for the state of
your project.

We work with engineers who are proficient in their understanding
of the unique characteristics of traditional joinery, and work seamlessly with
the Architect and the Engineer of Record.
After the drawings are approved and engineered the timber is ordered. All of the joinery is done in our shop.
Installation ...
Some projects are installed by the builder, such as trusses that bear on conventional framing and entries.
On more complex timber frames, our crew goes onsite for the installation. Generally we send a four man crew. These consist of the same joiners who built the timber frame in the shop. All of the crew expenses (travel, hotels, and meals) are included in the contract price. The price for shipping, the forklift and crane, and any taxes are the responsibility of the purchaser.
